Same old same old

CNN:  Candy Crowley Interviews David Keene of the NRA
He is being totally disingenuous.  As opposed to regulating firearms (like large capacity clips and semi-automatics) he is suggesting better screening of potential firearms owners for mental illness.  Of course when in the past legislation came up to build a better data system for screening potential firearms buyers, or restricting ownership among those who have had mental illness, or putting screening restrictions on gunshows the NRA opposed those proposals as well.  It is the old bait and switch...in lieu of one regulation propose an alternative, then when the vote comes up for the alternative work hard to defeat that one.

Btw no mention of their previous plan to post armed guards at schools.  That football seems to have already been pulled away after it served its purpose.  Personally I am still in favor of 2MM special ops forces, reporting to the UN, who fly around in black helicopter, and are funded by an enormous tax on the firearms industry...and who will serve as guards at schools.
